Bitsa week for WOYWW

It's been a bitsa this and
bitsa that week.
I'm doing a sketchbook course
and that's what is on my desk.
No boring paperwork anymore
I've finished it and I even
filed it away.
Now that's a first for me!
No it's not on the floor
I actually filed it in the filing cabinet!
See, the desk is still quite tidy :)

For my sketchbook course we had to draw
 something with lots of detail.
So I decided to do my iron,
(hey it's far better than actually ironing with it).
You can see 6 ink pens,
would you believe all but one were
dried up, talk about pain in the bum.
The sweets are for my sugar fix.
I got them free with some printer ink,
that alone keeps me going back them :)

How cute are my new drawers.
I bought them to hide all the rubbish that sits on
top of the printer and they go perfectly with
my Tardis and Darlek.

I had a finish bits week with my painting.

I finished off my beautiful pelican.
"Mr P Makes Waves"
Just look at all that delicious texture.

I love him so much I'm going to keep him.

Then I put on the hanger and sealed
 my other painting.
"Sailing at Sunset"
This has heaps of mica paint but
it doesn't show up in the photo
and then I started a new canvas

 Yep, back on birds again.

In class I'm doing this monstrosity

Mess

Super messy,

It's seagulls fighting over
some food in the water.
I have to tell you that cos
there's no way you would see that
at this stage.
The ink's just gone down and
it will be totally different when I
get to class next week.

It's been a turbulent week with
Charlie parrot and trying to get
his medicine into him.
If you can imagine one little parrot
and three adults holding him down
you might get the picture.
I always get the pointy end
but I still have most of my fingers left.

That's my desk for this week,
now why not hop on over to
and see what's on the other desks
around the world this wednesday.

No wonder you want to keep Mr P.
Glad you still have all of your fingers so you can create these fabulous paintings.
Good news on the filing and those drawers look great too. All very organised ( should we be concerned?)

  12. Happy WOYWW. I always love your paintings. No wonder you are keeping the pelican. I have been continuing the big sort out of my craft room. The decorator is coming to paint a wall soon, so the pressure is on to get it all finished. It will be wonderful when it is finished and I can walk around without tripping over boxes! Ali x #78

  16. Well done getting through all the paperwork, Vonnie, and for actually filing it in the filing cabinet! In my book that's quite an achievement lol!!! Your art work is just gorgeous as always, and Mr. Pelican is scrumptious and I'm not surprised you want to keep him. Poor old Charlie - hope he will be better soon, and poor you having to get pills inside him! Wrap him in a towel and it might keep him still!

Thanks for your lovely comment. Beatrice is definitely better with the antibiotics working but we don't seem to be able to stop the infection returning. She is eating well, but still to thin, so we are feeding her little and often. So glad you like my various projects! We did nuno felt last night - post will be up soon.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  17. Drawing an iron is way more fun than using it for its intended purpose...that's a great excuse...think I'll go and sketch the hoover :-)
Love that new seagull painting, I like the fact that you show us the stages of how the painting develops...really interesting!
And I'm sorry, but I laughed at the Pinning down the Parrot. I know it's wrong but I just couldn't help it.....snigger.....

  21. The pelican is fabulous. I would keep him too! And I would much rather draw any household appliance rather than actually use it :)

I really love getting comments but due to a high amount of spam I had to take the anonymous user off of the comments. Sorry to those who can't leave a comment.
Thanks, Von.
