More glooping for WOYWW

 First up my desk (s)
What's that you say,
nothing to see here (apart from mess of course)
That's because my plan to take over the living room
is picking up speed (mwa ha ha).
I've now got at least 3/4 of the room and have plans to remove
the furniture one piece at a time
and disperse it among the other rooms.

Then I can move out a few cupboards
in my art room, put them in the lounge
and steal Big Miss's desk from her bedroom
 (she doesn't use it anyway).
I will have the perfect inking table
and room to splash about.
They'll never notice
ha ha ha.

I've been a busy girl
in the time I've had to play
in my present art room.
First I drew up and spattered
a pelican canvas
Then yesterday I glooped it
and this morning I glooped it some more.
During this week I also drew up,
spattered and glooped this sunset
Now for the fun bit, I get to ink it
after lunch.
I do love a good inking in the afternoon!!

I did learn two things this morning,
well okay I found out the hard way but
I'll probably do the same thing
over and over again.
When glooping with  bright colours
1.  Make sure you put your hair up
BEFORE you start. When that stuff dries
in your hair it really hurts to get it out!
2.  Don't hang out your sheets when
you are half way through glooping!
Luckily my sheets, although white, have pretty
little frangipani flowers on them.
Now they have a lot more petals,
if you get my drift.
I guess I could have said wash your
hands before hanging out the washing
but that would have been sensible
now wouldn't it.

While I figure out how to get that couch
out of the living room and get it
into the upstairs living room
why not hop over to
and see what the more
sane people are doing on their
desks around the world.
Mwa ha ha.

Sorry, been watching too much
Austin Powers.

  1. I think you should get pro movers in and just get it done and dusted in one quick swoop! You so need the space. I can't believe how many things you are working on! Love the pelican. He is just beautiful. The gloop feathers are BRILLIANT. #23

  2. Oh girl, we are so on the same wavelength!! When you were describing your master plan at the beginning, all I could visualise was Dr Evil with his little finger by his mouth! And then you hit me with that last line, spooky! Anyway, dominate anyway, cos the results are worth it. So clever. I have visions of your hubby and daughter perched outside on the verandah, peeling in wistfully while you create!
And your list of what not to do had me in kinks!!!!
You deserve a large slice of cake, I think :-)

  3. Hi Vonny...well your artwork is looking fabulous - glooping and inking sounds fun especially when one ends up with art like yours. Your plan to take over the lounge seems to be working, but you definitely need their help with lounge moving or find a strong friend to do it while everyone is out. Cheers and watch the hands, happy WOYWW RobynO#21

  4. Oh Vonny I love the idea of you stealthily re-locating yourself while the rest of the family is oblivious (kind of did that myself earlier this year). Hope you figure out the sofa dilemma. I find that panic sets in when I've only got the thing half way up the stairs and I need to ask for help - so much more satisfying when you can present a fait accompli. Thank you so much for your glooping tips - they are just the kind of mistakes I would make! Loving your pelican. Have a great Wednesday, Cindy #32

  5. Oh dear, Vonny. 'Scuse me while I just wipe up the tears of laughter after reading your thoughts and actions! Your master plan sounds just great - it's so obvious, isn't it, that we take up room. I am currently using the landing space as a dumping ground (that must change tomorrow as I need to make a wedding card!!!), the dining table as a sewing room, the 2nd bedroom as storage until the bride comes tomorrow to pick up her dresses, the lounge as a recreation space to do a HUGE jigsaw, and John has his own room - so that just leaves us the kitchen and the bedroom to live in.... good thing the family have moved out really!
    Love the pelican!
    Take care. God bless.

  6. It makes me feel better listening to you taking over the house, I feel guilty sometimes about the amount of space I use. I have decided that it is no use having a house with rooms that are only used when you watch TV or have visitors, every room needs to be in use or why have it.
Better still move everyone out and have the house all to yourself!
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x 49

  8. Excellent work on your stealth mission to take over the living room! Now that you've said this I wonder if the cats are trying to push me out of the living room. I love your glooping! Your paintings are always so much fun to see in progress--and when done too. I say invite a few friends over, get them tipsy and then ask them to help you move the couch. If nothing else it will be good for laughs. PJ #59

  9. So funny how you are slowly taking over that living room! I love your "glooping". Great word! And I like Princess Judy's comment about getting your friends to help move stuff. LOL! Happy WOYWW!

  10. Do you know, I think your takeover plan is becoming a reality and I think you may be right, they won't notice! Had a mutual grin over hanging the washing out with unwashed hands.....the damn distress inks come off like a charm on damp washing!
